Brooke Billedo as Melanie

An up and comer in the world of acting, Brooke has acted since the time she was in kindergarten, honing her skills with numerous theatre camps, where her favorite role was Owl in “Winnie the Pooh”. While her comedic talents were well apparent, Brooke’s role as the deeply conflicted Melanie was a noticeable departure from her previous work. However, as a young talent, she managed to lend empathy and a relatability to a character slowly creeping toward a downward spiral. But for more, you’ll of course have to see the film.

Christine Weatherup as Melanie’s Mother

Far from a stranger to the world of horror. Christine has acted in numerous television and film productions. You may have seen her recently in the acclaimed HBO television series Watchmen, or maybe it was the Rob Zombie film 3 From Hell. Christine has been a staple of so many productions in recent years, that it’s impossible not to have seen her somewhere. In Melanie, she crafts a deftly woven performance of a mother trying to cope as best she can with the gradual realization that her daughter might not be a normal child. Her talents lend an emotional depth that makes the conclusion of this tale all the more mortifying.

Josh Braaten has done it all, from appearances on numerous network and cable television programs, such as Mad Men, American Horror Story, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and too many others to count on a single pair of hands, to feature films such as Semi-Pro, and Love Meet Hope. His turn as Melanie’s Father, while brief, left an indelible mark in the film, with a performance that harkens back to some of the great father figures in horror cinema.
